Complete Guide to Managing OMR Templates
Your platform allows you to generate professional OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) answer sheets that our AI can automatically grade.
How to get here: Navigate to the left-hand sidebar, find the Assessment section, and click on OMR Template.
1. Creating and Previewing Templates
On the main OMR Templates page, you can see all your existing designs or start fresh.
- Create New: Click the green + Create New Template button to open the editor.
- Preview: Click the Preview button on any template card to see exactly how it will look when printed.
- Quick Start: Follow the dashboard guide: create/preset a template, customize it, print it, scan filled sheets, and upload for processing.
2. Customizing Your OMR Sheet (The Editor)
When you enter the editor, you will see a live preview of the sheet on the left and a settings panel called OMR Template Properties on the right.
A. Basic Information & Paper Configuration
- Template Name & Description: Give your template a clear name (e.g., "100 Questions - A4") so you can find it later.
- Paper Size: Choose from options like A4 Full Page, A4 Half, or A4 Quarter.
- Total Questions: Set the number of questions (up to 200). The bubbles will automatically rearrange based on the paper size.
- Options per Question: Usually set to 4 Options (A, B, C, D) to match your exam questions.
B. Visual & Language Settings
- Labels: Customize the text for "Question Number Label" and "Answer Column Label".
- Language & Digits: Select your preferred language (e.g., Bangla) and digit type for question numbers and roll numbers.
- Styling: Change the Table Border Color and Bubble Color to match your organizationβs branding.
C. Header & Student Information
Configure what information students must fill out manually.
- Organization Info: Enter your Organization Name, Address, Email, and Phone.
- Logo: Enable the logo, upload your image, and set its size (Small to Biggest).
- Required Fields: Toggle switches to enable or disable fields for Roll Number, Set Selection (A, B, C, D), Student Name, Class, Mobile Number, and Subject.
- Teacher Signature: Add a dedicated space for the invigilator's signature and date.
D. Instructions & Correct Methods
Help your students avoid mistakes during the exam.
- Instructions Title: Provide a heading for the rules section.
- Instruction List: Use the + Add button to create a list of rules (e.g., "Use black ink only").
- Method Labels: Clearly label the "Correct Method" and "Incorrect Method" bubble examples shown on the sheet.
3. Saving and Exporting
Once you are satisfied with your design:
- Click the green Save Template button in the top right.
- Click Export PDF to generate a high-quality file ready for printing.
