Live Streaming Overview

Understand the powerful live class options available in your LMS, including AWS IVS, Zoom, Google Meet, and YouTube Live integrations.

Live Streaming Overview

Your LMS gives you multiple powerful options for conducting live classes, ranging from professional built-in streaming engines to free third-party integrations. Both premium options (like AWS IVS and Zoom) can be seamlessly integrated so students never have to leave your platform.

Accessing the Live Class Options

To view and set up these options when creating a class:

Step 1: Navigate to Courses from your dashboard and click on a specific course to view its details. Step 2: Open the Modules tab. Step 3: Click the green + Add Content button next to the module where you want to schedule the class. Step 4: In the dialog box, select the Live tab at the top. Here, you will see the Streaming Provider options.

Live Class Streaming Providers

Option 1: AWS IVS (Professional Built-in Streaming)

Our built-in premium streaming leverages Amazon Web Services (AWS IVS) for ultra-low latency, professional-grade delivery with built-in recording.

Key Capabilities:

  • Customizable Quality: Choose your Channel Type based on your needs and budget, ranging from Basic SD (480p) to Standard FHD (1080p).
  • Flexible Streaming Methods: Stream directly from your browser (recommended for simplicity) or use an RTMP stream key to connect to professional external software like OBS Studio.
  • Auto-Recording: Toggle Enable Recording and Auto-start Recording so the system automatically saves the lecture for future viewing.
  • Cost Estimation: The dashboard provides a dynamic Estimated Cost breakdown (e.g., input cost per hour + output cost per viewer) based on the channel type you select.

Option 2: Zoom Integration

If your organization relies on Zoom for specialized features like breakout rooms, you can seamlessly connect it.

Key Capabilities:

  • Auto-Creation: The system auto-creates the Zoom meeting using your organization's Zoom integration credentials the moment you save the session.
  • Embedded Experience: Students join the meeting directly within your platform's portal without needing to juggle external links.

Option 3: YouTube Live & Google Meet

For cost-effective broadcasting or quick meetings, you can utilize free integrations.

  • YouTube Live: Simply paste your YouTube Live URL or Video ID. The system will automatically extract the ID and embed the stream (free, no internal streaming cost).
  • Google Meet: Auto-creates a Google Meet link via your Google workspace integration.

Global Live Class Settings

Regardless of which streaming provider you choose, you can configure the following for every live session:

  • Session Details: Set the Session Title, Start Time, End Time, and Maximum Participants.
  • Batch Assignment: Restrict access to specific student groups by assigning the class to specific batches (e.g., only the "Morning Batch").
  • Automated Attendance: Check the Count Attendance box to automatically track student attendance when they join the live link. Students who do not join will be marked absent when the session ends.
  • Education Hierarchy: Map the session to your exact Education Level, Group, Subject, Chapter, and Topic for precise organizational reporting.
