Managing Exams
The Exams page is your central hub for creating and managing all timed assessments, practice exams, and offline paper-based exams in your organization.
Navigating the Exam List
Step 1: Click Exams in the left sidebar to open the exam management page.

Step 2: The table shows all your exams. Use the Search exam by name or slug... input to filter them.
Step 3: Use the Sort by dropdown to reorder the list:
- Last added (newest / oldest)
- Last updated (newest / oldest)
- Time per question (high to low / low to high)
Step 4: Click Show Filters to reveal advanced filters. You can filter by:
- Course — Show only exams linked to a specific course.
- Education Hierarchy — Filter by Level → Group → Subject → Chapter → Topic.

Creating a New Exam
Step 5: Click the Create Exam button at the top right.
Step 6: In the Create New Exam dialog, fill in:
- Exam name * — The display name for the exam (e.g., "HSC Physics Model Test 1").
- Practice Exam Mode — Toggle ON if this is an untimed practice exam (no merit list, solutions shown immediately).
- Education Level (Optional) — Use the hierarchy selector to tag this exam to a specific Level, Group, Subject, Chapter, or Topic.
- Course Assignment (Optional) — Filter by tag, select a course, then select the module(s) to assign the exam to.
- Assign to Batches (Optional) — Select specific batches from the chosen course.
- Exam Start Time / End Time — Set the date and time window (in your organization's timezone).
- Time Per Question (seconds) — Default is 60 seconds per question.
- Reduced Mark Per Question — Marks deducted per wrong answer (negative marking), default 0.25.
- Total Mark — Maximum achievable score, default 100.
Step 7: Click Create Exam.

Exam Actions
For each exam in the table, click the â‹® (More) actions button to:
- Edit — Modify the exam settings.
- View Questions — Navigate to the questions management page for this exam.
- Open Test Link — Copies the public exam URL to the clipboard and opens it in a new tab.
- Delete — Permanently delete the exam.
Generating a Merit List
Step 8: Check the checkbox next to one or more exams.
Step 9: Click the Merit List Exporter (N) button at the top right and follow the export dialog.
